Ministry Distributes Solar Power Banks to Flood-Affected Districts

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has handed over 500 solar power banks to provide alternative electricity service in Nuwakot and Rasuwa districts affected by floods and disasters.

The ministry has provided solar power banks through the Alternative Energy Promotion Center with the objective of addressing the immediate electricity needs in the affected areas. The power bank, which can be used in areas where the electricity supply is disrupted, can be used to charge mobile phones and also to light about four-five bulbs.
