JSP Nepal Warns Against Undermining Federalism, Highlights Infrastructure Issues

Kathmandu. Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has warned against attempts to dismantle federalism, stating that it was achieved through struggle and sacrifice, not through anyone's mercy. Speaking in a special time during the National Assembly meeting on Monday, JSP Nepal MP Mohammad Khalid said that federalism was not obtained through anyone's mercy but through the long struggle, martyrdom, and sacrifice of the Nepali people.

‘Attempts are being made to weaken federalism by spreading confusion, saying it has failed and is expensive,’ he said, ‘Federalism is not like raising an elephant; it is a means to take power to the lower levels.’
