Kathmandu. News that Home Minister Sudhan Gurung reached a 13-point understanding with the 'United Hindu Front' in Janakpur has caused a stir. The understanding mentions making Nepal a Hindu nation.

The first point of the demands states, 'To promote lasting peace, social harmony, religious tolerance, and religious coexistence, the process of discussion will be advanced through an all-party meeting with a clear timeframe to establish Nepal, a nation with a majority of 81% Hindus, including Kirat and Buddhist, as a Hindu nation.' This also includes advancing the process within three months.
