24-Hour Monsoon Disasters: 1 Dead, 20 Injured, 34 Incidents

Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, one person has died and 20 people have been injured due to monsoon-induced disasters. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), 34 disaster incidents occurred in 25 districts of the country from 10:00 AM on Friday to 10:00 AM on Saturday. Among these incidents, one person died from snakebite and 20 people were injured.

During the said period, there were 14 incidents of snakebite, 11 of fire, six of landslides, and three of animal attacks. An estimated loss of approximately Rs 2.7 million has occurred due to these incidents. Additionally, roads were obstructed in two places, and 18 livestock were lost.
