Nepal Airlines Corporation Sees Improvement Under New Leadership

Kathmandu. With the Nepal Airlines Corporation getting new leadership, institutional reform work has started to gain momentum. With the prioritization of managerial reform, accountability in performance, and a commercial perspective, improvements have been seen in the corporation's income, seat utilization, and operational management.

A seven-member board of directors was formed in the corporation, including 5 independent directors selected through open competition on Jestha 5 and two representatives from the ministry. By the cabinet decision on Asar 30, Maheshwarbhakta Shrestha, an expert in the air service sector, was appointed as the Executive Chairman, including the General Manager.
