Dispute Erupts as Indian SSB Allegedly Demolishes Under-Construction Dam on Nepali Land in Susta

Butwal. A dispute has arisen after the Indian Armed Border Force (SSB) allegedly entered Nepali territory in Susta, West Nawalparasi, and demolished an under-construction temporary dam. According to Ravindra Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Susta Bachau Abhiyan Nawalparasi, the dispute occurred after the Indian side came and demolished the dam.

He informed Ratopati that local residents had started constructing a temporary dam by placing soil on Saturday to stop the flow of water during the monsoon, and the dispute arose on Sunday when the Indian side came and demolished the dam.
