Police Arrest Man for Spreading Misinformation and Hate Speech Online

Kathmandu. Police have arrested one person on charges of spreading misinformation and inciting religious-ethnic hatred in society through a YouTube channel. The Cyber Bureau of Nepal Police has taken into custody 39-year-old Janak Bhusal, a resident of Sandhikharka Municipality-9, Arghakhanchi, currently residing in Butwal.

The Bureau stated that Bhusal, with the intention of increasing followers and earning money through the YouTube channel named 'Nepali Khabar TV', had been broadcasting misleading content that directly affects the existing environment of the state.
