OPEC+ Agrees to Increase Oil Production by 188,000 Barrels Per Day

Kathmandu. Saudi Arabia, Russia and five other major members of OPEC Plus agreed in an online meeting on Sunday to increase petroleum (fuel) production to 188,000 barrels per day from September amidst disruptions caused by the West Asian war.

"Seven participating countries have decided to implement a production adjustment of 188,000 barrels per day," they said in a joint statement. This increase by the key countries of the expanded Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries comes as widely expected by analysts.
