Nepal Oil Corporation Claims Loss of Nearly 1.5 Billion Rupees in 15 Days Despite Price Adjustment

Kathmandu. Nepal Oil Corporation has claimed that it will incur a loss of nearly one and a half billion rupees in just 15 days even after adjusting the prices of petroleum products. With the new price adjustment implemented from Monday morning as per the decision of the Corporation's Board of Directors, the price of petrol and diesel has reached 200 rupees per liter, equal in the main cities including the Kathmandu Valley.
Claiming that the prices of petroleum products have increased in the international market, the corporation has increased the price of petrol by 3 rupees per liter and diesel and kerosene by 5 rupees. Earlier, in the third category areas of Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, the price of petrol was 197 rupees and diesel was 195 rupees, but now the price of both has been fixed equally at 200 rupees. Similarly, prices have been increased in the same proportion in the first and second category areas.
