Kathmandu. Nepali Communist Party MP Rajendralaxmi Ghare has expressed concern that Nepal has become a 'transit point' for human traffickers. Speaking in a special time during the National Assembly meeting on Monday, Ghare accused the government of not having any concrete plan to stop human trafficking and increasing insecurity through the misuse of technology.
MP Ghare said that recently people are falling into the trap of human trafficking through the use of technology. 'Our children, women, and youth are falling into the clutches of traffickers by luring them with unemployment and foreign employment opportunities,' she said, 'Incidents like students disappearing from Butwal and a girl's body found in a sack in Narayangadh have raised questions about the security of citizens' lives and property.' She claimed that Nepal has become a center for both internal and external trafficking.
