The District Police Range, Bhaktapur, has sought a 7-day remand through the government attorney. Arguments are ongoing at the District Court, Bhaktapur, regarding extending Prasai's remand.

Police arrested him from Nikosera in Bhaktapur on Sunday night. Police have sought a remand to investigate Prasai in custody for activities that could disrupt sovereignty or integrity under the offense against the state, offense against public peace, and offense against the Electronic Transaction Act.
