Gorkha Substation Successfully Charged, Improving Power Supply

Gorkha. The 33/11 KV substation constructed in Ghyampesal, Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality, Gorkha, has been successfully charged. The substation, which could not be operated for a long time due to local obstructions and right-of-way issues, is expected to provide a quality and reliable electricity supply system to northern Gorkha once it becomes operational.

This project was operated by the Nepal Electricity Authority, Project Management Directorate, Distribution System Strengthening and Expansion Project, with joint investment from the Asian Development Bank and the Government of Nepal.
