Nurses' Union Leader Ends Hunger Strike After 19-Point Agreement with Government

​Kathmandu. An agreement of 19 points was reached on Saun 20 between nurse activist Jyoti Ranabhat, who has been on a hunger strike since Saun 14, demanding various issues in the health and public health sector, and the government's negotiation team. With the agreement, Ranabhat has ended all her hunger strike programs.

The agreement paper was signed by Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Shree Krishna Shrestha, B. Medical Superintendent Dr. Hemant Chandra Ojha, and Law Officer Jay Prasad Subedi, and activist Ranabhat.
