US Senators Demand Elections in Venezuela

Washington. Seven months after the Donald Trump administration removed then-Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and installed his vice president as acting president, US senators from both Republican and Democrat parties have demanded elections be held in Venezuela.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz and Democrat Senator Jean Shaheen jointly presented a proposal on Tuesday, reaffirming US support for elections in Venezuela.
