NRN Portugal President Expresses Grief Over Nirmal Purja's Death

Lisbon. Non-resident Nepali Association Portugal President Sujan Lama has expressed deep sorrow over the death of world-record-holding mountaineer Nirmal Purja, calling him "Nepal's son and the world's jewel."

Issuing a condolence message, President Lama stated that Nirmal Purja had raised Nepal's name high across the world through his indomitable courage, dedication, and historic achievements. According to him, Nirmal Purja, born in Nepal, was a source of inspiration for millions worldwide, and his contribution could not be divided based on citizenship.
