Rastriya Prajatantra Party Authorizes Chairman to Decide on Provincial Government Participation

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has given the responsibility to the chairman to make necessary decisions regarding participation in the provincial government. A meeting of the Central Working Committee held at the party office in Dhumbaraahi on Wednesday has adopted a policy of closely observing the activities related to the formation and equation of provincial governments and making appropriate decisions at the right time, informed Chairman Rajendra Lingden.

Informing about the decisions of the meeting, Lingden clarified that RPP has not been involved in the power-centric activities of forming the provincial government so far. He stated that although the party is not immediately involved in the power equation of Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, and CPN, the party will determine its role if the situation changes. The meeting decided to entrust the chairman with full authority if a special situation arises and a decision has to be made, he said.
