Rabies Vaccine Distribution Begins in Provinces

Kathmandu. The Department of Health Services has stated that the distribution of anti-rabies vaccine has started in the provinces. The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division under the Department of Health Services has started distributing the first batch of anti-rabies vaccine obtained through the regular procurement process to the Provincial Health Supply Management Centers of all provinces.

According to the Division, the received vaccine will be distributed to the provinces based on need and arrangements have been made to deliver it from there to local health institutions. The Division has stated that continuous coordination is being maintained with the Provincial Health Supply Management Centers to ensure prompt distribution of the vaccine and to prevent shortages.
