Congress Leader Kamala Pant Criticizes Government's Monsoon Disaster Preparedness

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress National Assembly parliamentary party leader Kamala Pant has accused the government of not showing seriousness in preparedness despite hundreds of citizens losing their lives annually due to monsoon-induced disasters. Presenting a attention-grabbing motion regarding 'Government's Preparedness in Monsoon Disaster Management' in the National Assembly meeting on Thursday, she objected to the government's working style.

Leader Pant said that the fact that the motion registered on the 6th of Shrawan is being discussed only towards the end of Shrawan clearly shows the state's priority in disaster management.
