Butwal-Palpa Road Reopens One-Way After Landslide

Butwal. The Butwal-Palpa road, obstructed due to a landslide, has come into one-way operation. The road was completely obstructed since around 10 am today due to a landslide near Gaudepul in Tansen Municipality-8, Palpa, along the Siddhartha Highway. According to the Highway Security and Traffic Management Office, Butwal, vehicles are currently being sent towards their destinations operating one-way. Police informed that the work to clear the landslide to bring the road into full operation is ongoing. It is informed that it will take some more time for two-way traffic to operate. Vehicles going from Butwal to districts like Palpa, Gulmi, Syangja, Pokhara via the Siddhartha Highway and coming to Butwal from those areas have been affected. Traffic police have requested passengers to take necessary precautions and travel accordingly if there is an alternative arrangement.
