Sub-engineers Protest Reductions in Water Resources Department

Kathmandu. Sub-engineers who were made surplus by cutting staff numbers in the Department of Water Resources and Irrigation have taken to protest.

According to the protesting sub-engineers, 65 percent of the staff numbers have been cut according to the new organization and management (O&M) structure of the department, and 167 sub-engineers have been kept surplus.
