Tarun Tejpal Sentenced to 10 Years Imprisonment and Fine for Sexual Harassment and Rape Case

New Delhi. India's senior journalist and former editor-in-chief of Tehelka magazine, Tarun Tejpal, has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of lakhs of rupees in a case of sexual harassment and rape.

The Bombay High Court on Thursday determined the sentence and held Tejpal guilty under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. Earlier, the court had overturned the acquittal verdict given by the Goa trial court in 2021 and held him guilty.
