Dry landslide damages Tatopani border outpost in Sindhupalchok

Sindhupalchok. Dry landslide has caused damage to the Border Out Post (BOP) of the Armed Police Force in the Tatopani customs area of Ward No. 3 of Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality in Sindhupalchok. The dry landslide occurred around 1:15 AM last night from a hill about 200 to 300 meters high to the north-west of the BOP. Large stones that fell with the landslide collided with each other and bounced off, damaging the barracks and other structures of the Armed Police. According to the Armed Police Force Tatopani BOP, there was no human casualty in the incident. However, significant damage has been caused to various physical structures of the office. According to the information received, due to the landslide, a window pane of the first line barrack has been broken, and the wall of the second line barrack has a hole, and six holes have been made in the tin roof. Similarly, one duty post has been completely damaged and another one partially damaged. The pole where the national flag was placed has been completely destroyed, and the godown store building has 3 holes. The police have stated that the wall of the Senior Officer's bathroom has a hole and a Himalayan jacket has also been damaged by stones. The stairs in front of the main gate have also been damaged by the landslide.
