Brazil Federal Police Charge 16 Airline Employees in 2024 Plane Crash

Brazil. Brazil's Federal Police have formally charged 16 current and former employees, including the airline's owner, in the 2024 Bhopal plane crash that killed 62 people. After a two-year investigation, police have publicly concluded that managerial negligence, maintenance deficiencies, attempts to conceal evidence, and violations of safety standards led to the accident.

Among the accused is Bhopal's owner and chairman, Jose Luiz Felicio Filho. Local prosecutors will now decide whether to formally prosecute them.
