Pakistan Imposes New Restrictions on Foreign Media Outlets and Local Staff

Islamabad. Pakistan has imposed further restrictions on foreign media outlets operating within the country. This marks the first time that restrictions have also been tightened on citizens working for foreign media outlets within the country.

New restrictions issued on Sunday targeted foreign nationals working in Pakistan. This included a ban on collecting news or traveling outside Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi without government permission.
