Driver's License Renewal Services Halted Due to Server Issues, Citizens Face Fines and Cancellation Risk

Kathmandu. Due to a malfunction in the government server and delays in system upgrades, service recipients who could not renew their driving licenses are at risk of not only fines but also cancellation of their licenses.

The Department of Transport Management has suspended license services for about three weeks while upgrading the old software to a new one. The direct financial burden of this has fallen on ordinary citizens.
