From Canada to Kathmandu: Milan Nepal Builds a Digital Marketplace for Home Decor

Kathmandu. After spending four years in Canada, Milan Nepal returned to Kathmandu last February-March to cast his vote. He initially planned to return to Canada immediately after the election. Instead, more than six months later, he is still in Nepal, working on a business idea shaped by his experience abroad.

Milan Nepal, who had years of experience in Nepal’s furniture manufacturing sector before moving to Canada on a dependent visa, found an opportunity to work in renovation and construction there. His work gave him a close look at how digital platforms are used by Canadians to find furniture, home décor and other products for their homes.
