One Arrested with 302kg of Marijuana in Saptari

Rajbiraj. Police have arrested one person with a heavy quantity of marijuana from Hanuman Nagar Kankalini Municipality in Saptari. Police have taken local 53-year-old Madhuri Mukhiya into custody with 302 kg 480 grams of marijuana from Joginiya located in Hanuman Nagar Kankalini Municipality-08. According to the police, the marijuana was recovered from a government- खाली (empty) land located at Kosi Dam's Palar on Saturday at 2 PM, where it was hidden. The marijuana was found in 12 sacks kept inside the jute 9sunpat0 field belonging to Nandkishor Mukhiya, a resident of India. Preliminary investigation revealed that the recovered marijuana belonged to approximately 53-year-old Madhuri Mukhiya, a resident of Mukhiya Tole, Hanuman Nagar Kankalini Municipality-07, following which she was arrested, police said. The recovered marijuana weighed 302 kg 480 grams. The District Police Office Saptari has stated that further investigation is underway against the arrested Mukhiya under the Narcotic Drugs Control Act.
