Fake ‘Siddha Jhakri’ Scams Rs 900,000 From Army Officer’s Wife Using Social Media

Kathmandu. A woman, the wife of a high-ranking army officer, was allegedly defrauded of Rs 900,000 after scammers studied her husband’s social media activity and used the information to gain her trust.

The case was reported to the District Police Office, Kathmandu, around nine months ago. According to police, the scammers had closely monitored the army officer’s social media posts and gathered information about his lifestyle, work schedule and family.
