Traffic Police Chief Emphasizes Technology and Education for Road Safety

Kathmandu. Chief of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Suresh Prasad Kafle, stated that traffic police cannot manage traffic and reduce road accidents by merely blowing whistles on the road. He said this on Sunday during an interaction and discussion program on 'National and International Practices in Traffic Management'.

He emphasized the need to move towards a technology-friendly 'faceless traffic' system for reducing road accidents and managing traffic. He stated that technology, infrastructure development, and traffic education are essential to stop the loss of innocent lives due to violations of road discipline.
