National Sports Council Board Meeting to Discuss Asian Games, National Games, and ANFA Suspension

Kathmandu. The National Sports Council (NSC) board meeting has been called for Thursday. NSC Member Secretary Ramcharitra Mehta has called the 125th board meeting to be held at the documentation hall of the Ministry of Education and Sports.

Discussions will be held on Nepal's participation in the upcoming 20th Asian Games, the long-pending 10th National Games, employee appointments, and the international suspension of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), among other issues. The meeting, chaired by NSC Chairman and Minister of Education and Sports Sasmita Pokharel, has set 9 main agendas, which have already been sent to the board members by the NSC. Although various agenda items are formally listed, the two biggest recent issues in Nepali sports – preparation for the 20th Asian Games and the ANFA suspension – are expected to be the focus of the meeting.
