Global IME Bank Enables Online Account Opening via Nagarik App, Video Call Verification

Kathmandu. Global IME Bank has introduced a facility that allows eligible Nepali citizens to open a new savings account online through the Nagarik App, eliminating the need to visit a branch or fill out physical forms.

The service has been introduced to make banking services simpler, faster, and more technology-friendly. According to the bank, it is the first service of its kind in Nepal to use the government’s digital infrastructure for opening a bank account.
