Weather Forecast: Monsoon Influence Across Nepal with Potential for Heavy Rainfall

Kathmandu. Currently, the monsoon trough is influencing the entire country. The monsoon low-pressure line is currently slightly north of average (near Nepal) in the western part of Nepal and around the average location in the eastern part.

Due to this influence, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are largely affected. Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces have generally cloudy skies, while Madhesh province has partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rainfall is occurring in some places in Lumbini Province and in a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
