Syangja Constructs Seven Recharge Ponds Under 'One Community Forest-One Pond' Campaign

Syangja. Under the 'One Community Forest-One Pond' campaign in Syangja, seven recharge ponds have been constructed this year. Recharge ponds have been constructed in the upper parts of the forest and on the slopes because water sources in the streams have been drying up in recent years, which will cause springs in the lower coastal areas to erupt and increase water sources. Division Forest Office Syangja's Forest Officer Ammar Bahadur Parajuli informed that the Gandaki Province Government has implemented the campaign which started in the fiscal year 2078-079, and seven recharge ponds have been constructed in seven community forests in Syangja this year.
