Karnali Provincial Assembly Meeting Postponed

Surkhet. The Provincial Assembly meeting scheduled to be held in Karnali on Tuesday has been postponed without being held. The meeting has been rescheduled for August 18 at 3 PM, informed Rajendra Poudel, information officer of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, to Rato Pati. According to him, a business committee meeting was held on Monday evening. During that time, it was decided to postpone the meeting as there was no significant business to discuss for Tuesday. 'There was no business in the Provincial Assembly, which is why the meeting was postponed,' said a Provincial Assembly source. The Chief Minister Mangal Bahadur Shahi also participated in the business committee meeting. Discussions were held regarding taking a vote of confidence in the meeting. However, Shahi has not yet made a decision regarding this. Provincial Assembly Secretariat staff had urged Chief Minister Shahi to inform the assembly two days in advance if a vote of confidence is to be taken. Shahi had said that he would inform in time. 'The Chief Minister will possibly take a vote of confidence in the meeting on August 18,' said a CPN source. Shahi, who was appointed Chief Minister on July 28 with the support of the CPN-UML, has not been able to expand the cabinet by today's date. According to CPN sources, that work may also happen after taking a vote of confidence.
