Colombia Earthquake: Rescue Efforts Underway Amidst Rising Death Toll

Bogota. Rescue workers are working day and night to search and rescue people trapped under the rubble in Colombia after a powerful earthquake. More than 180 people have been confirmed dead due to this devastating earthquake that occurred on Monday. Most of the deceased are residents of Kali and Pereira cities.

The 7.4 magnitude earthquake, which struck at 7:34 AM local time on Monday, was felt hundreds of miles away in the western part of the country. New aftershocks continued to occur on Tuesday.
