Congress General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire Criticizes Election Commission Ruling

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress General Secretary Gururaj Ghimire has stated that the Supreme Court's decision to grant permission for review based on the grounds that the Election Commission did not provide an opportunity for a hearing is baseless. Speaking at the Central Working Committee meeting at the party's central office in Sanepa on Wednesday, General Secretary Ghimire said that they have evidence that the Election Commission held sufficient and continuous discussions with both parties involved in the dispute.

"The audio and video recordings of the Election Commission continuously discussing with both parties are safe. In such a situation, granting permission for review on the grounds of not getting an opportunity to be heard does not align with any facts," a central member quoted Ghimire as saying.
