Analyst Gautam Strongly Objects to Dalai Lama’s Remarks on Buddha’s Birthplace, Calls for Immediate Correction and Apology

Kathmandu: Political analyst Punya Gautam has strongly objected to remarks reportedly made by the Dalai Lama concerning the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, describing the statement as unacceptable and calling for it to be corrected immediately.

Gautam said any statement that creates confusion about Buddha’s birthplace cannot be accepted, stressing that the Dalai Lama should clarify his remarks and apologize to the Nepali people.
