From stamps to state services: Postal Office gets a new role

By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Aug. 14: The government’s campaign to modernise the postal service into a technology-driven, citizen-friendly state courier service has gathered momentum, with nearly 10,000 people receiving essential government documents at their doorsteps. The initiative, which goes beyond transporting official documents and materials to include home delivery of passports, driving licences and educational certificates, has significantly expanded the use of the country's postal network.
