At Least 6 Dead in Eastern Japan Due to Heavy Rainfall

Tokyo. At least 6 people have died due to torrential rain in eastern Japan. The risk of floods and landslides has increased due to excessive rainfall in Chiba Prefecture, near the capital Tokyo, affecting thousands of people.

Officials said a woman died inside a car submerged in floodwaters. Local media reported that two others died after falling on the road. Reports also indicate at least five people were injured in the incident.
