Record Rainfall Causes Havoc in Eastern Japan, Eight Dead

Tokyo. Record rainfall has caused havoc in eastern Japan. Eight people have died so far due to torrential rain in Chiba Prefecture.

The flood caused by the rain has disrupted road and rail transport, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at Narita Airport. Power supply has been cut off to more than 20,000 homes due to the flood.
