Nepal Oil Corporation Mandates ID for LPG Gas Distribution Amidst Criticism

Kathmandu. The Nepal Oil Corporation has faced widespread criticism for making citizenship or identity cards mandatory for citizens coming to collect cooking LPG gas, in an effort to streamline gas distribution. Citizens are expressing dissatisfaction with this arrangement through social media and various other platforms.

The corporation had issued a notice on Friday, informing about the arrangement for gas sales and distribution at five locations in the Kathmandu Valley on Saturday. The notice stated that a citizenship certificate and national identity card must be brought when coming to collect gas.
