Gulmi Farmers Receive Compensation After Three Years for Livestock Damage by Wildlife

Gulmi. Farmers in Gulmi, who have been waiting for relief for a long time after suffering damage to their livestock from wild animals, have received compensation amounts after three years. According to the Division Forest Office in the district, relief amounts totaling Rs 964,900 have been provided to the farmers as compensation.

The office has provided the relief amount to 74 individuals, including 73 who suffered livestock damage and one human casualty, based on the collected damage claims, informed Madan Sapkota, Information Officer at the Division Forest Office. According to him, damage caused by wild animals from August 2080 BS to November 2082 BS has been collected.
