NP Saud: Constitution Defense Means Improvement, Not Stagnation

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Narayan Prakash (NP) Saud has said that defending the constitution does not mean not making any improvements to it. Addressing a national gathering of the establishment- इतर faction of Congress in Kathmandu on Saturday, he said that the constitution is a living political document and can be amended based on experience.

Leader Saud emphasized the need for necessary improvements based on practical difficulties, institutional weaknesses, and political experience seen during the implementation of the constitution. However, he argued that such improvements or amendments should not become a tool for changing power equations or a means to fulfill the immediate political interests of any party.
