Butwal. Police are searching for Umesh Chandra Yadav, chairman of Pratappur Rural Municipality in West Nawalparasi. Police have started searching for Yadav after a case was filed against him for misusing government documents during the construction of a pond. Earlier, the Nawalparasi District Court had issued permission to arrest Yadav on August 4. Yadav had approached the High Court to avoid arrest. He had been avoiding arrest after the High Court issued a short-term interim order not to arrest him immediately. On Friday, the High Court Butwal did not extend the short-term interim order, opening the way for police to arrest Yadav. Following the court's order, the Belatari Area Police Office and the District Police Office West Nawalparasi have intensified their search for him. DSP and Information Officer of the District Police Office West Nawalparasi, Madan Thapa, said that the search for the absconding Yadav is ongoing. 'After the court opened the way for arrest, the search is ongoing,' said DSP Thapa. 'We will arrest him soon and take him through the legal process.'
