Kathmandu. Ghanshyam Bhusal, acting chairman of the CPN United, has commented that it is unusual for the Supreme Court to issue a notice for review in the dispute over the authenticity of the Nepali Congress. Speaking at a national discussion on 'What to do with the Leftist Movement Now?' organized in Kathmandu on Sunday, he expressed concern that the legitimacy granted to the Congress led by Gagan Kumar Thapa through a special general convention could be overturned. He stated that the country's political situation could become more complicated after the court's move, warning that the constitution and democracy itself could be in crisis. He accused the government and the ruling party of undertaking major activities to cover up their weaknesses or trying to continue with the old leadership. He also claimed that the ruling party RSP wants the old leaders to remain in the old political forces. 'The court has issued a notice that could overturn Gagan's case,' Bhusal said. 'If that happens, they may undertake even bigger activities to cover up their incompetence and hooliganism. Or they will try to move forward by keeping the incompetent ones. Because the legitimacy of the so-called new forces remains only when the incompetent ones do not leave.' He said that such disturbances would be carried out to hide their mistakes, and the ultimate blow would be to the constitution and democracy. He said this would lead the country towards a terrible crisis and that the economic crisis would worsen in the coming days. Similarly, leader Bhusal commented that it has not yet been understood how the communist parties were defeated in the House of Representatives elections held on February 21. He said that the communist parties suffered an unexpected and difficult-to-explain defeat in that election. 'We have lost in such a way that we still don't know how we lost,' Bhusal said. 'The country was already ruled by the incompetent, and now it will be ruled by hooligans.' He pointed out the need for the communist movement to review itself and go to the people strongly, warning that if the government continues at this pace for another two years, there is a risk of even more terrible damage and political accidents.
