Government Revenue Collection Increases by 10% in First Month of FY 2083/84

Kathmandu. Government revenue collection has seen a significant increase in the first month of the current fiscal year 2083/84. According to the Office of the Controller General of Accounts, the government's income in the month of Shrawan was around Rs 93 billion 43 crore 63 lakh. This is an increase of approximately 10 percent, or Rs 8 billion 24 crore, compared to the total receipts of the first month of the last fiscal year.
According to the Office of the Controller General of Accounts, the total receipts from tax revenue were Rs 85 billion 19 crore 6 lakh and the total receipts from non-tax revenue were Rs 7 billion 3 crore 47 lakh. Similarly, the government received foreign grant assistance of Rs 24 crore 3 lakh in the first month. The government has set a target of earning a total income of Rs 16 kharba 42 billion 6 crore 37 lakh for the current fiscal year.
