MP Rajendra Laxmi Gaire Criticizes Government Over Disasters, Inflation, Security

Kathmandu. Nepali Communist Party MP Rajendra Laxmi Gaire has criticized the government for not being serious about the natural disasters, rising inflation, and security challenges facing the country. Speaking at the National Assembly meeting on Monday, MP Gaire accused the government of failing to fulfill its parental role and being indifferent to the basic problems of people's lives.

MP Gaire recalled the heartbreaking incident of July 13 in Thawang Rural Municipality-5, Rolpa, where dozens of people died and many went missing due to landslides, stating that the victims have not yet received relief. She also drew the government's attention to the inundation caused by the Narayani River in Susta, Nawalparasi West. Pointing to the rising inflation across the country, including Kathmandu, which has made life difficult for people, Gaire said that the prices of gas, fruits, vegetables, and food items in the market have increased excessively.
