Executive Chief Warns of High Disaster Risk During Remaining Monsoon Period

Kathmandu. Executive Chief of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, Dr. Dharmaraj Upreti, has stated that the risk of disaster is high during the remaining period of the monsoon.

Speaking at a discussion on monsoon preparedness and response held at the authority on Monday, he said that as this year's monsoon has been active in a different pattern than average in Nepal, the risk of heavy rainfall and disasters remains high in the remaining period.
