Nepal Transport Independent Workers Union Seeks Amendments to Proposed Transport Act

Kathmandu. The Nepal Transport Independent Workers Union has drawn the government's attention to amend the provisions of the proposed 'Vehicle and Transport Act, 2083' that are contrary to the interests of workers, self-employed, transport entrepreneurs, and the general public.

The union, presenting a three-month amendment proposal on the draft of the act, has demanded that the act be made practical, just, and road-safety friendly through meaningful discussion with representatives of stakeholders, transport workers, and entrepreneurs.
