Chitwan National Park Sends Captured Tiger to Parsa National Park Due to Lack of Enclosures

Chitwan. Chitwan National Park on Sunday sent the tiger it had taken under control to Parsa National Park. It was sent to Parsa due to lack of enclosures here, informed the park's Information Officer Avinash Thapamagar. The approximately four-year-old male tiger, which was spotted on Friday in Rapti Municipality-1, was darted and brought under control on Sunday morning. According to him, the park currently takes problem tigers under control and keeps them in enclosures. Currently, there are seven tigers in the park's enclosures. The lack of enclosures in the park has necessitated sending tigers to Parsa. Currently, there are three tigers at the park headquarters Kasara, two in Devnagar, and two in Sauraha. Among the tigers in the park's enclosures, there are five males and two females. He stated that the lack of enclosures in the park has added to the challenge of managing problem tigers. One of the tigers in the park's enclosures was brought from Banke, while others were taken under control from Chitwan National Park and surrounding buffer zones after becoming problematic. According to the latest count, there are 145 tigers in this park. This park has the highest number of tigers. He said that as there are settlements around the park, if more tigers need to be taken under control at any time, there will be a lack of space. With the addition of tigers in the enclosures within Chitwan National Park, it has become difficult to provide food.
